Will i get a zero in the opinion piece section of the literacy test(osslt)because i agreed and disagreed both?
the topic was are cellphones necessary in teenager’s lives?
i said yes and no.
i supported it with strong points though that it reallly depends on the purpose of the phone. some people use it because they need their security as they travel alone quite a lot. some parents want their children to have it because they want to keep track where their children are.
but some people really dont need it. they just use it for texting or talking etc.
it really depends on the teenagers’ maturity level that they should be allowed to have a cellphone or not.
what do you think?
thanks.
I doubt you will get a zero, since what you said was still an opinion. You said that it depended on the teenager’s life situation. If they are on the go and are using it to keep communication with their parents, it is useful. However, if they are simply texting their buddies, it is not needed. That is an opinion.
